Nursing courses में, एक प्रोफेशनल डिग्री नर्सिंग कोर्स के रूप में बीएससी नर्सिंग का ही नाम आता है, इसीलिए बहुत से विद्यार्थी 12वीं के बाद बीएससी नर्सिंग में ही दाखिला लेते हैं।

अब अन्य किसी भी कोर्स की तरह, इस कोर्स में दाखिला लेने से पहले भी विद्यार्थियों के मन में इससे संबंधित कई महत्वपूर्ण सवाल होते हैं।

उन्हीं में एक सवाल बीएससी नर्सिंग की अवधि को लेकर भी रहता है कि बीएससी नर्सिंग कितने साल की होती है?

B.Sc Nursing कोर्स 4 साल की होती है। B.Sc Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) यानी नर्सिंग में विज्ञान ‌स्नातक 4 साल की अवधी का एक प्रोफेशनल डिग्री लेवल अंडरग्रेजुएट नर्सिंग कोर्स है।

4 साल की अवधि वाले इस नर्सिंग कोर्स में 6-6 महीने के कुल 8 semesters होते हैं।

पढ़ाई के साथ-साथ फाइनल ईयर के दौरान आपको इसमें इंटर्नशिप भी करनी होती है जिसमें कि आप अस्पतालों और क्लीनिक आदि में डॉक्टर की सहायक के रूप में एक नर्स के तौर पर अपनी ट्रेनिंग करते हैं।

बीएससी नर्सिंग की 4 सालों की पढ़ाई के दौरान आपको आपको एक प्रोफेशनल नर्स के तौर पर तैयार किया जाता है।

भारत में आप किसी सरकारी या प्राइवेट नर्सिंग कॉलेज से बीएससी नर्सिंग का कोर्स कर सकते हैं, और हर जगह बीएससी नर्सिंग की अवधि कुल 4 सालों की ही होती है।

4 सालों की पढ़ाई और अंत में होने वाली इंटर्नशिप पूरी करने के बाद आपको आपकी नर्सिंग की डिग्री और नर्सिंग का लाइसेंस मिल जाता है, जिसके बाद आप अस्पतालों, क्लिनिकों और स्वास्थ्य संस्थानों में एक नर्स के तौर पर काम कर सकते हैं।

किसी भी हॉस्पिटल या क्लीनिक में जाने पर प्रायमरी ट्रीटमेंट जैसे की मरहम पट्टी करना, इंजेक्शन लगाना, फिजियोथैरेपी आदि जैसे काम एक नर्स का ही होता है।

और बीएससी नर्सिंग में आपको इन्हीं सब के बारे में पढ़ाया और practically सिखाया भी जाता है।

Distance B.Sc Nursing कितने साल की होती है?

अब कई विद्यार्थियों के मन में शुरुआत में यह सवाल भी रहता है कि डिस्टेंस मॉड से बीएससी नर्सिंग या ओपन यूनिवर्सिटी से बीएससी नर्सिंग कितने साल की होती है?

तो भारत में आप distance mode में बीएससी नर्सिंग का कोर्स नहीं कर सकते हैं।

अन्य कई B.Sc Courses के साथ ऐसा है कि आप किसी ओपन यूनिवर्सिटी जैसे इग्नू से 3 से 6 साल तक के बीच के समय में अपना बीएससी कोर्स कर सकते हैं।

लेकिन UGC (University Grant Commission) और DEC (Distance Education Council) nursing programs में distance learning को approve नहीं करता है।

Nursing एक practical profession है, जिसमें कि विद्यार्थियों के पास clinical skills और practical experience होना जरूरी है, और यह चीज डिस्टेंस लर्निंग के साथ नहीं हो सकती है।

इसीलिए अगर आप भारत में नर्सिंग में करियर बनाना चाहते हैं, तो full time यानी regular mode B.Sc Nursing कोर्स ही चुनना होगा जिसकी कुल अवधि 4 सालों की ही होगी।
